I would like to extend a warm welcome and an open door to all Mater Academy Preparatory students and families in our school community! As the Principal of Mater Academy Preparatory, I am delighted to welcome all families to our nurturing and rigorous educational environment. Mater Academy is a name associated with some of the top-performing schools in the country, and we are elated to extend this momentum to Columbus, Ohio. Mater Academy Preparatory has created a college-bound culture cultivated from the very beginning of a student’s educational journey. I began my teaching career in New York City, shortly after earning a Bachelor of Science in Education from The Ohio State University. I also received a Master of Science in Counseling. I have served communities and provided counseling to students in schools in Harlem, and the Upper East Side in New York City, as well as in Miami, Florida. I am overjoyed to be back in my hometown where my educational journey originated! In my role as Principal of Mater Academy Preparatory, I would like to prepare our students to be lifelong learners, kind humans, critical thinkers, leaders, and well-rounded individuals to face the challenges ahead. At Mater Academy Preparatory, we firmly believe that communication and collaboration with parents is critical for the growth and success of our students.
